The client has a corporate website for their retail business. It is visited by tens of thousands of users daily who make corporate inquiries and access the client portal. The client needs to continuously update its website and keep it relevant to its customers with high availability.

The client was facing challenges in modernizing their website and upgrading it due to the legacy system and having a high bounce rate due to very slow page speed. They also faced frequent downtimes due to unnecessary dependencies on other systems and having too many points of failures. They faced inherent risk due to security vulnerabilities and long upgrade cycles. Rising maintenance costs were another issue that needed to be addressed for cost-optimization.

Aokumo assessed the client's existing infrastructure and modernize for better performance, cost-saving, and higher security.

Overgrowing maintenance costs were one of the main concerns, so it was essential to design the infrastructure for efficient resource utilization.

On the existing infrastructure, page load time was high so optimizing speed without any change in the website on the application level was very important.

After

Aokumo analyzed the existing infrastructure for underlying performance problems and recommended migration to the AWS cloud.

We prepared asset inventory, designed a data strategy, and outlined a detailed AWS migration roadmap covering all bottlenecks and single points of failure.

Aokumo modernized the entire website infrastructure for cost-optimization and implemented disaster recovery solutions for automated recovery.

We implemented TLS, and WAF, among other security solutions, to build security, encryption, resiliency, and CDN load-balancing to handle different types of traffic.
